In the wake of the catastrophic 2025 Myanmar Earthquake — a magnitude 7.7 disaster that has decimated communities and critical infrastructure — millions of people are now facing a dire water crisis. 

The earthquake not only leveled homes and essential services but also compromised water pipelines and sanitation systems, leaving communities vulnerable to deadly waterborne diseases such as cholera. To make matters worse, decades of civil conflict have hindered relief efforts, obstructing aid and worsening the humanitarian situation.

Our Mission at Wateroam

Since our inception, Wateroam has recognized that the water crisis can’t be solved alone. We partner with a diverse network of supporters and local communities to tackle water issues globally. In Southeast Asia, we have a longstanding record of delivering life-saving aid in the wake of natural disasters — from earthquakes and floods to typhoons. Today, our expertise and innovative solutions are needed more than ever in Myanmar.

Wateroam is raising funds to provide essential water filters for affected areas. Our first round of aid supplies have been mobilized, but more help is urgently needed.

Safe Water, Save Lives

Safe Water, Save Lives is an initiative of Wateroam, dedicated to addressing the humanitarian crisis brought about by ongoing civil conflict and natural disasters like the Myanmar Earthquake.

Wateroam is mobilizing its ROAMfilter Emergency Kit  — advanced water filtration systems designed to remove harmful contaminants — to provide clean drinking water for communities in both Myanmar and neighboring Thailand.
