When disaster strikes, clean water is one of the first essentials lost — and one of the most urgent to restore.

In the aftermath of the catastrophic 2025 Myanmar Earthquake, entire communities have been displaced, homes and hospitals destroyed, and water systems rendered unusable. Survivors are now struggling with dangerously contaminated water sources, increasing the risk of disease outbreaks such as cholera and diarrhoea.

Wateroam is leading an initiative with the support of the Global Supply Chain Leadership Alliance (GSLA) for the Myanmar Assemblies of God (MAG) to provide safe drinking water to thousands of survivors across the hardest-hit areas of Myanmar — through the power of local response networks and clean water technology.

🚨 Why Support is Urgently Needed

• Magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck on March 28, 2025

• Nearly 50,000 homes destroyed, affecting over 197,000 people

• Entire neighbourhoods in Sagaing, Mandalay, and Naypyidaw flattened

• Water infrastructure collapsed, wells contaminated, and sanitation disrupted

• Healthcare systems overwhelmed with more than 5,000 trauma patients

Many communities are now living in makeshift shelters, with little to no access to clean drinking water. In the face of extreme heat, early rains, and lack of sanitation, these conditions are rapidly becoming a public health emergency.

🛠️ What This Fundraiser Supports

Through this campaign, we are equipping MAG’s national network of churches and community teams with ROAMfilter Plus units — portable water filtration systems that can deliver up to 100 people with safe drinking water per unit.

The Myanmar Assemblies of God (MAG) has deep local reach, with churches already serving as coordination hubs and shelters. Their trained volunteers and church leaders are ready to deploy and manage these water systems in both rural villages and urban hospitals.

Provides clean drinking water a hundred people in an emergency. The remaining costs of logistics, operation and distribution would be covered and managed by MAG and Global Supply Chain Leadership Alliance's network.

Our Goal is to reach 2,000 survivors and civilians affected by the Myanmar Earthquake.

🌍 Where Will the Filters Be Used?

ROAMfilter Plus units will be deployed across multiple earthquake-affected regions, including:

• Mandalay

• Sagaing

• Shan State

• Naypyidaw Union Territory

• Yangon Region

Installations will take place at church relief centers, displaced shelters, small rural villages, and hospitals — coordinated by MAG's grassroots teams on the ground. Each site will be supported with training and basic operation protocols to ensure long-term functionality.
